Purchase Life Annuities

Purchase life annuities are brought with private capital.  Income, which vairies according to age, is bought for life.  One advantage is that part of the annual payment, the capital content, is treated as return of capital and is tax free.  The figures below show how much annual income can be bought at various ages with a single £10,000 lump sum.
